Police who were investigating a murder in Normal arrested a suspect who was at the scene, but is not believed to be the shooter.
The shooting in question happened on December 31st when Tariq Houston was shot and killed. 18-year-old Garrett Ahlfield went up to a group of people who were around Houston after he had been shot and discharged his handgun multiple times before leaving on foot.
Ahlfield is facing charges of possession of a firearm without a FOID card, unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firarm.
