Early Wednesday morning, police were called to the Decatur Inn after receiving reports of yelling and loud noises coming from a room.
Upon arrival, police were able to hear a man yelling for help. When they entered the room, the man inside claimed a man was shooting at him. He explained it happened after he was shot at through a window. There was no window where the man claimed he was shot at from.
Officers discovered five bullet holes in the wall of the man’s room and he was charged with criminal damage to property and reckless discharge of a firearm.
