Chatham police are investigating after a false call was made to the police department on Saturday afternoon.
The received a call shortly after noon and the caller said that a female had been shot inside of a house, but said that if officers came they would be harmed.
The Chatham police sent in a tactical response team to the house, where there were no signs of suspicious activity.
