A man from Decatur who has been accused of stealing two pairs of Louboutin shoes valued at nearly $5,000 was arrested on Monday night. Ryan Triplett stole the shoes from a car back in October and then listed them on an app.
The owner of the shoes then took to selling sites and apps and was able to locate the shoes on the LetGo app.
The owner’s girlfriend then set up a meeting through the app and she was given one shoe from each pair to inspect. The owner arrived during the meeting and the thief fled the scene and struck the woman’s vehicle in his haste.
Triplett was arrested on Monday and charged with possession of stolen property.
