Be on the lookout for a text message telling you that your debit card has been temporarily locked.
This is a scam attempt to have people enter their personal information.
Several Monticello residents have reported being sent these messages and the same scam has been reported circulating in Jacksonville as well as Springfield. If you receive one of these text messages, do not respond.
