Starting February 2020, SkyWest will replace CapeAir as the new air service at the Decatur Airport.
The have a 2-year contract in place that will begin on February 1st. Included in their services are 12 weekly round trips to Chicago using a 50-passenger jet, increasing from the 9-passenger planes used by CapeAir.
The increase in passenger space was one of the main draws to move to SkyWest, as well as a larger network of destinations.
