A 22-year-old from Decatur was arrested after police found a gun and crack cocaine in his vehicle. His 46-year-old passenger was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
When approached by police, the driver reached into the back seat and then placed a baggie under his seat.
Upon an alert from a K-9, the car was searched and officers found 4.5 grams of crack and a loaded handgun. The driver was charged with armed violence.
