A girl in Mattoon was critically injured after a vehicle hit her while she was walking her dog Saturday evening.
Witnesses have stated that the 14-year-old was drug into the road by the large dog she was walking and was struck by an 85-year-old man.
She was airlifted to an Urbana hospital.
