46-year-old Brian Williams was arrested after attempting to return $12,000 he had stolen during a call. Police responded to a drug overdose on November 25th and a relative had noticed that a sum of money had disappeared.
They contacted police, which led to an investigation. The victim later received phone calls offering to have their money returned if they dropped the case with the police department. Williams was arrested for theft, official misconduct and alleging intentional control over property owned by another person after being seen dropping off the money for the victim to retrieve.
