On Friday, Decatur Police were sent to the KFC on East Pershing. A caller had notified police that an employee was in possession of a firearm.
The man, who is a three-time felon, was in possession of a pistol. The 35-year-old man now faces two preliminary charges of possession of a weapon by a felon and one preliminary charge of being an armed habitual criminal.
He is being held on $100,000 bond. He has been fired by the restaurant.
