A man who threatened officers during a traffic stop has been arrested. At around 1 a.m. Wednesday, police were conducting a traffic stop when Alvell Mitchell ran towards officers while yelling. Right before this transpired, Mitchell was suspected of criminal trespassing at a gas station.
At the traffic stop, Mitchell had to be separated from another man and declined to leave the area. Police then took him into custody for obstruction. While on the way to be booked, Mitchell began threatening an officer and their family.
Mitchell will now face charges of threatening police officials and obstructing a peace officer. His bail is $25,000.
