An 18-year-old is facing preliminary charges of unlawful use of a weapon after police responded to shots fired on North Jasper Street Thursday. Officers were given a description of the vehicle and soon stopped it on East Walnut Street.
The 18-year-old male was found to be in possession of a 40-caliber pistol. He was arrested and booked in Macon County Jail
