Macon County Sheriff Tony Brown has voiced his opposition to recreational marijuana sales in Decatur. He believes statistics such as Colorado’s 100% increase in traffic fatalities speak for why the soon-to-be legal drug should not be sold in Decatur.
He believes it also could hurt businesses in Decatur because it would lead to more failed drug tests and that he doesn’t believe profits will be what people expect.
There is a special meeting on Monday, September 30th at 5:30 at the Decatur Civic Center where the topic will be covered.
