A Georgia man was killed over the weekend in a crash on I-70 in Effingham County. Around 4 p.m. Sunday James Barnes Jr. was stopped in construction traffic when his vehicle was struck by a truck from behind.
Upon impact, Barnes was pushed into a semi he was stopped behind.
Barnes died at the scene. The man who crashed into his vehicle was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
