The 18-year-old who took a safe from his stepmother’s bedroom has been given a two year probation sentence.
The safe was reported to have stored more than $8,000 of his parent’s money and jewelry. Brandon Diggs took a plea deal and was charged with theft and has been ordered to pay $8,300 for the safe and also pay an additional $250 to have his DNA added to a criminal database.
The theft happened back in April. Diggs was seen entering the house of his stepmother on a security camera. He was then seen entering the house and pacing the premises before the power to the camera was disconnected.
Soon after, the safe was missing from the bedroom.
