The Illinois State Police are going to be joining with local law enforcement across the state in preparation for Labor Day.
Technically, the campaign started back on August 16th in an effort to quell drinking and driving as well as drug use and driving. Going into the weekend, patrols will be ramped up in an effort to avoid serious accidents over the holiday weekend.
Please have a designated driver or grab a taxi if you have been drinking. Don’t forget to use your seat belt, the police will be looking for drivers and passengers who are not buckled up.
