Jason Shingleton tried to cash the check at 22nd Street Discount Liquor. He claimed the check was from DMH Medical Equipment. On the check was a logo for a bank not used by DMH. The check was for the amount of $1,760.45.
DMH confirmed Shingleton is not one of their employees and that they do not use DMH Medical Equipment on their letterhead. A review of security footage confirmed Shingleton trying to cash the check. He now faces forgery charges.
