The suspect, Jonathan Leyva, walked up to the two victims back on August 16th on W. North Street. Leyva asked for a cigarette and upon being told no, he produced a shotgun. He was also armed with a pistol.
Leyva then robbed the victims of $300, an iPhone as well as a house key.
Police were able to locate the iPhone with tracking software and they found the suspect, who has been charged with armed robbery. Leyva’s bail is set at $100,000.
