44-year-old Torice Bond has been arrested for shooting a gun at a Decatur house. The incident happened Saturday afternoon when a woman was helping her children into her car and she asked Bond not to shoot a rifle he was holding because she had her children with her. According to police, Bond then set the rifle down and produced a handgun which he then fired at a house.
Police officers found multiple structural defects in the house in question and one was a few feet away from a crib in a bedroom. A witness saw Bond running after discharging his firearm and he was arrested Saturday evening. He is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and a count of being an armed habitual criminal.
