An excessive heat warning is now in effect for Central Illinois. Yesterday, the National Weather Service in Lincoln issued the warning. The warning will be effective through Saturday evening.
Temperatures are currently expected to reach the mid and upper 90’s but the heat index will be between 105 and 110 degrees.
