A man who was wanted by the FBI was arrested in Decatur on Monday. 22-year-old Jevon Ford was seen exiting a vehicle on W. Leafland Avenue. Ford then chose not to disclose his identity with police. Officers then had a K-9 sweep the area the vehicle came from and found a black nylon bag in the back yard of a North College Street house.
In the bag were two stolen pistols and plastic baggies which held almost 20 grams of an amphetamine. Police also found a small amount of xanax and almost 24 grams of marijuana, as well as a Missouri ID belonging to Ford.
Later, authorities learned of Ford being wanted by the FBI on a warrant in St. Louis for possessing a firearm as a felon.
