Police have released audio of what they consider a hoax 911 call in which a man had threatened to mass shooting at a Mattoon church. The man in the phone call claimed he had pipe bombs and a gun and was outside the church.
Police issued search warrants to phone providers. Because one of the phone providers is based in Hong Kong, the FBI is involved. Police released the audio hoping someone could identify the caller’s voice.
The call dates back to March 6th.
