Two new tobacco laws began today. The first law, called Tobacco 21, raised the age of sales of tobacco products to 21 years of age. New taxes also increased the price of a pack of cigarettes by $1 and added a 15% wholesale tax for e-cigarette products as well.
The purpose of the new laws is to reduce usage of tobacco and help tobacco users kick their habit.
