Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White is hoping to make sure black market body part sales will not happen again under legislation that has been proposed. White expects lawmakers to approve.
Families who believed they were donating their loved one’s body parts to science for medical research were instead shocked to find the body parts were sold to the highest bidder. This stems form a father-son, owner-operator duo from Biological Resource Center of Illinois. The two are now facing federal charges for brokering deceased body parts.
