Illinois House to vote on graduated income tax plan

A proposed graduated income tax plan is moving forward after an Illinois House panel vote.  The Revenue and Finance Committee voted yesterday to send the plan to the House floor.  The measure will need to pass with a three-fifths majority to go before voters on the November 2020 ballot for final approval.  The Senate passed the proposed amendment May 1st on a straight party-line vote.
