Zion Williamson had 35 points and 10 rebounds in defeat. The Blue Devils slipped to 14-and-2 on the season. Tyus Battle scored 32 points to lead the Orange, who upped their record to 12-and-5.

(Washington, DC) — The Clemson football team is being honored in the nation’s capital. President Trump welcomed the national champions to the White House on Monday. Clemson claimed its second national title in three seasons with a resounding 44-16 triumph over defending champion Alabama. The Tigers became the first team in college football history to finish 15-and-0.

(Washington, DC) — Jake Allen made 28 saves as the Blues beat the Capitals 4-1 in D.C. David Perron extended his NHL career-high point streak to 11 games with a goal for St. Louis, which has its first three-game winning streak of the season. Vince Dunn, Ivan Barbashev and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored in the win. The Blues visit the Islanders tomorrow night.

(Newark, NJ) — Kyle Palmieri and Blake Coleman scored two goals apiece in the Devils’ 8-5 win over the Blackhawks in New Jersey. The Hawks got four points from Patrick Kane, who tallied two goals and two assists. Dominik Kahun, Brandon Saad and Brent Seabrook also scored for Chicago, which dropped to 16-23-and-9. The Blackhawks head to New York to face the Rangers on Thursday.

(Lake Forest, IL) — Cody Parkey’s future with the Bears is up in the air. General Manager Ryan Pace wouldn’t say whether the kicker would return next season, saying that position needs to be better. Parkey struggled this season, missing 11 kicks. Head coach Matt Nagy also expressed displeasure with the kicker’s appearance on NBC’s Today Show last week, just five days after missing a potential game-winning field goal in a playoff loss to the Eagles.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts have no designs to trade quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is Andrew Luck’s backup. At his season-ending media conference, Indianapolis general manager Chris Ballard said he would have to be blown away by any proposed deal for Brissett. He started 15 games in 2017 with Luck nursing a shoulder injury and passed for 3,098 yards with 13 touchdowns to seven interceptions. Brissett is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

(Undated) — Two-sport star Kyler Murray is entering his name into this year’s NFL Draft. The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from Oklahoma revealed his decision on Twitter Monday. Murray was the ninth pick in last year’s Major League Baseball Draft and has a contract with the Oakland A’s that includes a 4.66-million-dollar signing bonus. The NFL Draft begins April 25th.

(Bronx, NY) — The New York Yankees are mourning the loss of former pitcher and coach Mel Stottlemyre. His wife tells the New York Times that he passed away Sunday at the age of 77 after battling a form of blood cancer. Stottlemyre pitched 11 seasons for the Yankees and went on to win five World Series titles as a pitching coach with the Yankees and crosstown rival Mets.
