Molina is a nine-time All-Star and eight-time Gold Glove winner who has spent his entire career in St. Louis.

(Chicago, IL) — Zach LaVine scored a game-igh 32 points as the Bulls notched their first win of the season over the Hornets 112-110 at the United Center. LaVine has now scored at least 30 points in four straight games. He joins Michael Jordan as the only player in franchise history to open the season with at least four 30-point games. Cameron Payne added 21 points for Chicago, which plays at Charlotte tomorrow.

(Chicago, IL) — The Bulls may lose Bobby Portis for a while. The forward left in the fourth quarter of last night’s victory over the Hornets with a right knee injury. (Phoenix, AZ) — LeBron James and the Lakers are celebrating their first win of the season. “King James” scored 19 points as Los Angeles knocked off the Suns 131-113 in Phoenix. The Lakers had started the season 0-and-3. James left Cleveland for the second time this past offseason to sign a four-year, free-agent contract with the Lakers.

(New York, NY) — A jury is convicting a trio of defendants in a college basketball pay-for-play scandal. An Adidas employee, a former Adidas consultant and a former runner for an NBA agent were all found guilty yesterday in New York of wire fraud. They attempted to influence top recruits to attend Kansas, Louisville and North Carolina State.
