The Giants traded the 23-year-old cornerback to the Saints on Tuesday for a fourth-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft. Big Blue also receives a seventh-round pick in 2020. Apple was drafted out of Ohio State with the 10th overall pick in 2016.

(Undated) — Safety Eric Reid’s grievance against the Bengals is being denied by an independent arbitrator. The union filed the grievance on Reid’s behalf after Cincinnati owner Mike Brown asked Reid if he was still going to kneel for the national anthem during a free-agent visit this year. The arbitrator ruled that the Bengals had the right to ask Reid.
