(Springfield, IL) — Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says he wants school kids in Illinois to learn about hard work, but he doesn’t think local schools need to be forced to teach a work ethic class. The governor Sunday vetoed a plan to require a work ethic curriculum starting in the sixth grade. Rauner says he doesn’t want state lawmakers to dictate how local schools should teach about hard work.
