(Urbana, IL) — The man accused of kidnapping a Chinese-born U of I scholar won’t get to see if President Trump talked about his case. A federal judge on Wednesday said the request from Brendt Christensen’s lawyers is a fishing expedition, they wanted to know if President Trump talked about the case with Chinese leaders this year. Christensen is due to go on trial for Ying Ying Zhang’s disappearance in April.
