(Peoria, IL) — Three Peoria police officers who were involved in the shooting death of a man in February will not face charges. Daniel El fired five shots at officers, hitting one before he was killed by the officers. The incident happened after a car and foot chase on February 1st, and the officers have been on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Officers Nathan Adams and Joseph Harris will return to full duty, but Officer Ian McDowell is still recovering from his gunshot wound.
