(Dallas, TX) — The Blues went with offense in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft. They traded with Toronto to move up from 29th to 25th and selected German right wing Dominik Bokk. The Blue sent the Maple Leafs the 29th overall pick as well as a third-rounder, the 76th overall.

(St. Louis, MO) — The Blues have forward Nikita Soshnikov in the fold. They finalized a one-year contract with the 24-year-old on Sunday. The one-way deal is worth 800-thousand-dollars. Soshnikov had one goal and one assist in 12 games after being acquired from the Maple Leafs.

(Washington, D.C.) — The Washington Capitals are giving defenseman John Carlson a new deal. The Stanley Cup champs inked Carlson to a new eight-year, 64-million dollar contract. (Sonoma, CA) — Martin Truex Junior took the lead for good on lap-91 and cruised to a victory in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma. Truex led 62 of the 110 laps, including the last 20 after he passed Kevin Harvick to retake the lead for good. He crossed the finish line more than 10-seconds ahead of second-place finisher Harvick. The victory was Truex’s second at Sonoma and the 18th of his career.
