(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ new budget will mean some repairs in Springfield. Both the Illinois Capitol and the State Fairgrounds are getting money in the new state budget. Lawmakers earmarked about 30-million dollars for repairs to several buildings at the fairgrounds, including the Coliseum, which was closed last year. The budget also includes about 20-million dollars for the Illinois Capitol complex, some of which will replace pipes that contained the bacteria that causes Legionnaires disease.
