(Springfield, IL) — There’s still no plan to pay for the new veterans dorm that Governor Bruce Rauner wants to build at the state’s veterans home in Quincy. The governor’s office Tuesday released its report into the home, and how to end the Legionnaires outbreak that’s killed 13 people there since 2015. The report does not mention the deaths or the dozens of people who’ve gotten sick. It does focus on building a new place for the veterans to live, as well as new administrative offices, and a new water treatment facility.
