(Undated) — The Sharks, Penguins, Lightning and Predators won last night in the NHL playoffs. The Sharks beat the Ducks 2-1 to finish a four-game sweep. Elsewhere, the Penguins blanked the Flyers 5-0, the Predators edged the Avalanche 3-2 and the Lightning downed the Devils 3-1. Those three teams now hold 3-1 series leads.

(Oakland, CA) — Matt Olson singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 14th inning as the Athletics outlasted the White Sox 12-11 in Oakland. Tim Anderson tied the game in the top of the ninth for Chicago with an RBI single. Yoan Moncada smacked a grand slam and scored three times as the Sox slipped to 4-and-11 after being swept in the three-game series. James Shields took the loss in relief.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cardinals and Cubs ran into wintry weather again at Wrigley Field, postponing Wednesday’s game. It was the second time in the series a game has been postponed. (Chicago, IL) — The Cardinals are bringing up slugger Tyler O’Neill from the minors. The 22-year-old outfielder is expected to be promoted from Triple-A Memphis before the start of today’s game in Chicago. O’Neill is batting .388 with six home runs and 19 RBI in 12 games in the PCL. He was acquired from the Mariners last July.

(San Antonio, TX) — The Spurs are mourning the loss of the wife of head coach Gregg Popovich. Erin Popovich passed away yesterday. The two were married for four decades with two kids and two grandchildren. It’s not known if Popovich will coach the team tonight against Golden State. The Spurs trail the first-round series two-games-to-none.

(Lake Forest, IL) — Devin Hester and Matt Forte will sign one-day contracts with the Chicago Bears and officially retire as members of the organization. The Bears announced both players will sign the deals on Monday at Halas Hall. Hester holds the NFL record with 20 return touchdowns. Forte ranks second on the Bears’ all-time list with 8,602 rushing yards, behind only Hall of Famer Walter Payton.

(Undated) — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski now has some skin in the Kentucky Derby. He tweeted that he’s bought a minority stake in a racehorse named “Gronk.” The three-year-old colt will race in the May 5th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. The family of the horse’s trainer are huge Patriots fans who named the colt after Gronkowski.

(New York, NY) — The full NFL regular-season schedule will be released tonight. The league will unveil the 2018 slate in a two-hour special on NFL Network. All 32 teams found out their opponents back in January, but will now learn dates, times and bye weeks. The preseason schedule was released last week. The NFL Draft begins next Thursday.
