(Urbana, IL) — The University of Illinois wants someone to oversee its 60 million-dollars in diversity spending. The school in Urbana earlier this week said it is looking to hire a diversity director. Chancellor Robert Jones says the university needs someone who can track how the school invests in diversity, and whether those investments are paying off. Jones said the chief diversity officer will be an important position at the school. This is the first time the U of I has looked to hire a diversity chief.
