(Urbana, IL) — The University of Illinois worried about paying for its share of health care and retirement costs for its workers. The U of I’s CFO yesterday said it will cost the school about 50 million dollars a year to pick up their tab. Governor Rauner wants to shift some of the cost of employee health care and pensions to the places that actually employ Illinois workers and retirees. The U of I’s Avijit Ghosh says the school could end-up paying 200 million-dollars for retirements and health benefits by 2021.
