(Urbana, IL) — Graduate students at the University of Illinois could have a new contract by the end of the day. Unionized grad students are expected to finish voting today on an offer from the university to end their nearly two-week-old strike. No one is offering any contract details, but Gus Wood, the co-president of the Graduate Employees Organization, said on Thursday he is super excited about the offer. Grad students went on strike over better pay and benefits.
