(Springfield, IL) — Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan is leaving a number of questions unanswered after releasing a list of harassment complaints within his office. Madigan unveiled the list of nine complaints yesterday afternoon. They range from complaints about a lawmaker who made an inappropriate sexual remark to a staffer, to a lobbyist who had to be told not to make unwanted advances toward a statehouse worker. But Madigan said his list does not include complaints made by or about lawmakers, as well as complaints made to anyone outside of his office. Madigan yesterday, once again, said that he will not resign because of questions about harassment at the Capitol.
