(Lincoln, IL) — Illinois will likely have a new piece of its justice system in place by the end of the day. Governor Rauner is due in Lincoln this morning to likely sign a new law that will create a director of the Women’s Division at Illinois’ Department of Corrections. The governor has quietly reformed most of Illinois’ corrections department over his first term. This next step is expected to bring more attention to the needs of the women locked up in Illinois.
