(Green Bay, WI) — With Green Bay out of playoff contention, the Packers aren’t going to risk the health of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. They have placed the star signal-caller on injured reserve, officially ending his season. Rodgers returned on Sunday to start in their loss at Carolina after missing eight weeks with a broken collarbone. Green Bay fell to 7-and-7 and was eliminated when Atlanta beat Tampa Bay on Monday.

(New York, NY) — The NFL is reducing the suspension of Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis to one game after an appeal. He was originally hit with a two-game ban for leading with his helmet against defenseless Green Bay wide receiver Davante Adams on Sunday. Davis was flagged for the hit at the time, but was not ejected. He will sit out this Sunday’s home game against Tampa Bay.

(Milwaukee, WI) — The Bucks blew a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter, but recovered to beat the Cavaliers 119-116 in Milwaukee. Cleveland went ahead 107-105 late in the quarter on a Dwyane Wade three-pointer. Milwaukee then outscored the Cavs 14-to-9 the rest of the way to earn the victory. The Bucks are now 16-and-13. Cleveland slipped to 23-and-9.
