(Urbana, IL) — It’s 69 years in prison for the man convicted of a shooting not too far from the University of Illinois. A judge yesterday sentenced Robbie Patton to almost seven decades in prison for shooting and killing 22-year-old George Korchev back in September of last year in Campustown in Champaign. Prosecutors say Patton fired into a crowd of people who’d just beaten-up one of his friends.
