Chicago’s Kris Dunn had given the Bulls a one-point lead seconds earlier on a tough finish in the lane. Robin Lopez and Lauri Markkanen paced Chicago with 20 points. The Bulls have lost seven straight to drop to 3-and-17. They host the Kings tonight.

Alex DeBrincat, Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane had goals for Chicago, which dropped its second straight. The Blackhawks converted just one of seven power-play opportunities in defeat. They visit the Stars tomorrow night.

(Albany – New Providence, Bahamas) — Tigers Woods is three shots off the lead after the first round of the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. He carded a three-under 69 on Thursday in his return to competitive golf. Woods is tied for eighth in the 18-man field. It’s his first tournament since February. Woods underwent a fourth back surgery in April.

(Louisville, KY) — Former men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino is suing the University of Louisville for breach of contract. Pitino is seeking 37.6-million-dollars, saying he was fired with no justified cause. He was dismissed in October amid an FBI investigation into bribery and fraud in college basketball. The 65-year-old spent 16 seasons coaching U-of-L.
