(Chicago, IL) — Some homeowners in Illinois could get a little something extra on their tax return next year. Governor Bruce Rauner yesterday signed a new law to give homeowners in 18 counties that saw flooding this year a 750 dollar tax break. People in Cook, Lake, Kane, McHenry, Alexander, Clinton, Jackson, Marshall, Union, Woodford, Carroll, Henry, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Rock Island, Stephenson, and Whiteside counties will be able to apply for a natural disaster credit on their 2017 tax return.
