(Houston, TX) — The Fall Classic shifts to Houston for the next three games. The Dodgers and Astros meet in Game Three of the World Series tonight with the best-of-seven matchup tied at one. Yu Darvish gets the ball for LA, while Houston will have Lance McCullers Junior on the rubber. Game Four is tomorrow and Game Five on Sunday, also in Houston.

(Bronx, NY) — Joe Girardi’s time as Yankees manager is over. They are moving on from Girardi after his 10th season with the team. He just finished the fourth and final year on his contract. The Yankees’ season ended with a seven-game loss to the Astros in the ALCS. Girardi led the Bronx Bombers to six playoff appearances, including a World Series title in 2009.

(Baltimore, MD) — Jimmy Smith’s 50-yard interception return for a touchdown capped the Ravens’ 40-0 demolition of the Dolphins on “Thursday Night Football” in Baltimore. Miami quarterback Matt Moore was picked off twice starting in place of the injured Jay Cutler. Joe Flacco threw a TD pass before being knocked out of the game with a concussion. The Ravens are 4-and-4. Miami fell to 4-and-3.
>>Cardinals Hire Mike Maddux As Pitching Coach
(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals have a new pitching coach. They have hired Mike Maddux, who spent the last two seasons in a similar role with the Nationals. The Cardinals have also promoted Triple-A pitching coach Bryan Eversgerd to bullpen coach. The 56-year-old Maddux is the older brother of Hall of Famer Greg Maddux. He replaces Derek Lilliquist in St. Louis.
>>Cubs Fire Three Coaches, Hire Two
(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs are parting ways with three coaches including pitching coach Chris Bosio. Chicago also did not renew the contracts of hitting coach John Mallee and third-base coach Gary Jones. The Northsiders named Chili Davis hitting coach and Brian Butterfield third-base coach. Cubs manager Joe Maddon said the moves are about taking the club to another level and back to the World Series.

(Chicago, IL) — The Blackhawks are back home to play the Predators tonight. Chicago just split two on the road, putting them at 5-3-and-2. Nashville is 4-3-and-2.
>>Blues At Hurricanes Tonight
(Raleigh, NC) — The Blues are in Raleigh tonight to clash with the Hurricanes. They bounced back from a loss at Vegas last weekend by beating the Flames 5-2 at home on Wednesday. The Blues have won three of their last four games to improve to 7-2-and-1. They lead the Central Division with 15 points, three ahead of Chicago. Carolina is 4-3-and-1 with nine points.

(New Orleans, LA) — The Bears face the Saints on Sunday at the Superdome searching for a third consecutive win. Chicago beat the Ravens and Panthers in consecutive weeks to improve to 3-and-4. New Orleans is 4-and-2.

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Colts look to snap a two-game skid Sunday as they visit the Cincinnati Bengals. Indy is coming off consecutive losses to the Titans and Jaguars. At 2-and-5, the Colts need a win to get back into the division race. Tennessee and Jacksonville lead the AFC South at 4-and-3. Houston is 3-and-3.
>>Illinois Hosts Fifth-Ranked Wisconsin Tomorrow
(Champaign, IL) — Illinois football is on its home field tomorrow. The Fighting Illini entertain fifth-ranked Wisconsin, with kickoff at Memorial Stadium set for 11 a.m. Illinois lost at Minnesota last weekend and has dropped five in-a-row since a 2-and-0 start. The Illini are 0-and-4 in Big Ten play. The Badgers are unbeaten at 7-and-0 with a 4-and-0 conference mark.

(Martinsville, VA) — The Monster Energy Cup Playoffs continue for NASCAR Sunday afternoon in Martinsville. There’s only four races left in the season. NASCAR heads to Texas Motor Speedway next weekend.
