(Chicago, IL) — The mother of the Chicago teen who died in a hotel freezer says she wants protestors to stop marching in her daughter’s name. Kenneka Jenkins’ mother, Tereasa Martin, yesterday said on Facebook that the protests are ‘over.’ Martin is angry that some protestors were raising money at the marches outside the hotel in Rosemont where Jenkins died earlier this month. Activists who organized the protests say the money was for expenses, and say they’re saddened that Martin wants to end their demonstrations.
