Mike Glennon finished 15-of-22 for 101 yards, a TD and an interception for the Bears, who improved to 1-and-2. Tarik Cohen added 78 yards on 12 carries for Chicago. The Bears visit the Packers on Thursday.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts scored three second-quarter touchdowns and held off the pesky Browns in a 31-28 victory in Indianapolis. Jacoby Brissett hooked up with T.Y. Hilton on a 61-yard touchdown pass and also rushed for two touchdowns to lead Indianapolis in his second start with the team. Frank Gore found the end zone and became the ninth NFL player with three-thousand career carries. Rashaan Melvin had two key interceptions as Indy earned its first win. The Colts visit the Seahawks on Sunday.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Cardinals managed just four hits in a 4-1 loss to the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Matt Carpenter homered in the third to stake St. Louis to a 1-0 lead, but Seung-Hwan Oh served up a two-run blast to Starling Marte in the fifth to put Pittsburgh in front for good. Jameson Taillon got the win. John Gant started for the Cardinals.

(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals begin their final homestand of the season tonight as they Cubs come to town for four games. Luke Weaver will start for St. Louis and Jon Lester for Chicago. The Cardinals have lost two in a row to fall to 81-and-74. They are two-and-a-half games behind Colorado for the second NL wild card with seven games remaining.

(Chicago, IL) — Avisail Garcia hit a two-run homer in the first inning and the White Sox never looked back in an 8-1 win over the Royals. Kevan Smith also homered and drove in two for Chicago, which took two of three in the series to climb out of the AL Central basement. Lucas Giolito pitched seven innings of five-hit, one-run ball for the win.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Jose Quintana struck out 10 while firing a three-hit shutout as the Cubs blanked the Brewers 5-0 in Milwaukee. Quintana allowed just three singles and Ben Zobrist hit a two-run homer as Chicago took three-of-four in the series. The Cubs lead Milwaukee by five-and-a-half in the NL Central. They play the Cardinals in St. Louis tonight.

(Cranberry, PA) — The Blues scored twice in the second and third periods to erase a 1-0 deficit and beat the Penguins 4-1 in the Kraft Hockeyville USA game in Cranberry, Pennsylvania. It spoiled the preseason debuts of Pittsburgh stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. The Blues are 3-and-2 in exhibition play. They skate at Columbus tomorrow.

(Chicago, IL) — Dwyane Wade’s time with the Bulls is going to be short lived. The “Chicago Tribune” reports Wade and the organization have agreed to buyout the final season of his two-year deal with the organization. He averaged 18.3 points on 43-percent shooting with 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in his only season with the Bulls.

(Chicago, IL) — The Bulls are keeping forward Nikola Mirotic around. According to multiple outlets, Chicago has re-signed Mirotic to a two-year contract worth 26-million-dollars. The 26-year-old was a restricted free agent and is going to be entering his fourth season with the Bulls. He averaged 10.6 points per game last season.
