(Decatur, IL) — United States Congressman Rodney Davis (R-IL), a 1992 Millikin University graduate, will visit Millikin’s campus on today, to speak with students, staff, faculty and the public on how human trafficking is a growing issue lying underneath the surface in communities across the United States and the world.
Congressman Davis will speak about this phenomenon, how it affects central Illinois, the latest legislative efforts to address this problem in Congress, and what the government is doing to prosecute traffickers and rehabilitate victims. The event is part of Millikin University’s celebration of Constitution Week.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the University Commons, Room 304, Banquet Hall A on Millikin’s campus. The event is free and open to the public.
