On Sunday, at 4:31 p.m., Decatur Police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of 1000 South Water. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 36-year-old Decatur resident had sustained multiple gunshot wounds after fleeing the shooters into a wooded area in the 1000 block of South Main. The 36-year-old Decatur resident was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Decatur Police Detectives processed the extensive crime scene, recovering evidence that at least two were involved in the shooting. Detectives interviewed several witnesses and developed probable cause to arrest three suspects. Arrest warrants for First Degree murder were obtained for the following individuals: Joseph D. Fox, 27, Darelle D. Fox, 31, and Shawn L. Eubanks, 25.
