(Urbana, IL) — The University of Illinois isn’t letting the state’s budget crunch get in its way. The school yesterday announced a plan to spend 60-million dollars over the next three years to lure new professors to campus. U of I President Tim Killeen said the school “must – and shall – remain a magnet for stellar academic talent.” The 20-million dollars a year is earmarked for recruiting between ten and 15 professors each year.
